I have premature ejaculation and was recently prescribed an
antidepressant. Do these medications work?
Some
doctors have been prescribing antidepressants for premature ejaculation.
However, there are no good studies to show that these drugs work. In many
cases, you have to be on the drug for many weeks before you see any affect.
Personally I do not recommend antidepressants for premature ejaculation,
because they can also lower your libido. Best advice- masturbate 30 minutes
prior to intercourse. Your only problem then is if you can get it up again in
time for the actual intercourse.
