Recently I was
prescribed quetiapine for my anxiety. Does this medication work?
Anxiety is a
difficult disorder to treat. Even though there are medications for treatment,
resistance quickly develops. Now there has been an interest in the use of
atypical antipsychotics for the treatment of anxiety. Current data show that
quetiapine does relieve anxiety. Unfortunately, the drug has numerous side
effects and most patients stop taking the medication.
